Meredith’s Miracles to bring costumed characters to WOP bazaar

Along with gift ideas and holiday decorations galore, expect to see the likes of Mickey and Minnie and many more at the W.O. Parmer Holiday Bazaar this Saturday, Dec. 4, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the school.

Meredith’s Miracles, an Andalusia-based non-profit group which offers non-medical-related financial support to the families of sick and injured children needing specialized treatment outside this area, will be bringing a collection of beloved costumed characters to the event.

Children can have their photos taken with their favorite character,” said event co-organizer, Krystal Thagard.

Mickey and Minnie will be on hand for photo ops from 10 to 11 a.m.; Buzz and Woody from Toy Story, from 11 to noon; Spongebob and his friend Patrick, from noon until 1 p.m. and Elmo and the Cookie Monster from Sesame Street from 1 to 2 p.m.

All the photos will be processed on-site, and you’ll be able to take them home that day,” said Thagard. Room 121 of the Kindergarten Hall will serve as the studio for the day.

The cost for each photo is $5, with the proceeds going to Meredith’s Miracles.

The support given by MM to families in need includes, but isn’t limited, to transportation, food, and/or lodging monies, along with emotional support to families during a difficult time. To learn more, visit www.meredithsmiracles.org.
