McKenzie October Fest this Saturday
McKenzie is celebrating autumn with its own harvest time celebration this weekend.
This Saturday, October 23 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., venture down to Jerry’s Place on Main Street and browse among a great selection of “good stuff,” as organizer Betty Henry calls it.
“We’ve got some of our familiar vendors from our May Fest, along with some new ones, with handmade swings, baskets, other arts and crafts and home décor-lots of neat things,” said Henry.
The McKenzie VFD will also have volunteers serving up hot and juicy sausage dogs, hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, funnel cakes, “something for everyone to enjoy,” she added.
In addition, attendees can test their pitching skills at the dunking booth and get their faces painted at the event.
“Bring your lawn chair and get ready to enjoy some great live music all day long,” Henry said.
McKenzie’s October Fest will be located one-half mile south of downtown McKenzie on Armstrong Road.
