Greenville High School honors class of 2021 graduates at commencement ceremony

Greenville High School held its senior graduation Saturday, May 22.

Salutatorian Jordan Neese began the ceremony with a speech reflecting on how graduation is different for everyone.

“While today looks the same for all of us, tomorrow does not,” Nesse said.  “For many of us, it is just another step in our education as we prepare to attend a university, community college, or trade school. Many are also preparing to enter the workforce, and others have dedicated their service to this country. Each of our paths might look different, but for all of us, tomorrow is our first opportunity to make the last thirteen years of our lives worth it.

Following Neese’s speech, valedictorian Krupa Patel took to the podium to express the importance of completing your goals within your own time.

“I’ve realized that there is no specific timeline or specific way to reach your goals,” Patel said. “As long as you reach your goal or get close to it, that’s all that matters. If you want to go to college, go whenever you can. If you want a nice job, work hard until you get there. Just pursue your dream no matter how long or difficult it is. Your success shouldn’t be measured by how high up you are, but how far you have come.”

As students made their way across the field to accept their diplomas, they marked the occasion with a handshake and a picture of their smiling faces to mark the occasion.

When the last name was called, students made their way off the field to pose for pictures and toss their caps in the air.

At this time, the graduating class has earned over 3 million in scholarship offers.

Congratulations to the Greenville High School Class of 2021!
