The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory effective until 7 p.m. tonight.
As Tropical Storm Debby moves slowly northeast toward Florida, strong heating and daytime mixing on the backside of the storm will result in frequent wind gusts of 30 to 35 miles per hour across inland southeast Mississippi and all of southern Alabama.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles.
The strongest wind gusts are expected along and east of the I-65 corridor.
