Curtis Lampkin

Curtis “Uncle Gene” Lampkin, of Hosford, Fla. and a former resident of Greenville, passed away October 8, 2008 in Gadsden County, Fla. He was born in Birmingham and moved to Hosford in 1968 from Greenville.
Mr. Lampkin owned and operated several businesses including the former Talquin Truck Stop at 267 and Hwy 20. He also served in the US Navy. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008 at the Hosford Wesleyan Methodist Church with interment at 3 p.m. at Sunrise Memorial Park in Greenville with Charles McClellan Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at the church at 9 a.m. until service time.
He is survived by: wife, Sharon Smith Lampkin of Hosford; sons, Paul Lampkin of Hosford, Fla. and Michael Lampkin of Granite, Okla.; daughters, Louise Lampkin of Scottsdale, Ariz., Teressa Lambert of Woodstock, Ga., Natasha Lampkin of Tallahasee,Fla. and Wendy Millette of Hosford; brother, Bobby Lampkin of Evergreen, seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
