Mildred Durden

Mrs. Mildred Durden, age 96, a resident of Ft. Deposit, and former resident of Montgomery, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 2, 2008. Funeral services were held on Friday, December 5, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Ft. Deposit Church of Christ with Minister Michael Coleman officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.
Burial followed in Myrtlewood Cemetery.
The family received friends one hour prior to funeral services at the church.
Mrs. Durden was preceded in death by her husband, Delma C. Durden.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Bill Tompkins of Sarasota, Fla., granddaughter, Amanda Winston of Atlanta, Ga., sister, Frances Gammon of Vicksburg, Miss., brothers and sisters-in-law, Lomax and Elizabeth Conway of Orange Beach, Tom and Margariet Conway of Ft. Deposit, Haurice and Mary Alice Conway of Mesa, Arizona, Aileen Conway of Jackson, Miss., Ruth Conway of Linden, and her many beloved nieces and nephews.
Mildred was a very loving, independent, energetic, and thoughtful lady.
She will be remembered as a “Saint” by all who loved her.
