Maggie Dell Sheffield, age 97, a resident of Coy, died at her home on Sunday, June 14, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home in Camden, with Rev. Randy Davis and Rev. Guss Jones officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow at Coy Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 16, from 6-8 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sheffield is survived by her daughters, Emmie (Sam) Bender of Excel, Sallie McGraw of Coy,, Mary (Moody) Maness of Excel,, sons, Walter L. (Agnes) Sheffield of Uriah, Fred (Millie) Sheffield of Camden, William M. (Betty) Sheffield of Greenville, John Earl (Betty) Sheffield of Excel, 22 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, 32 great-great-grandchildren, sister, Louise Crossett of Mandara, Texas, and nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers will be Fred Sheffield, Keith Bender, Carl McGraw, William Earl Sheffield,
John Dan Sheffield, Rickey Sheffield, James Sheffield, Moody Maness, Wesley Sheffield, Martin Sheffield, Joshua Sheffield, and Morris Sheffield.
