James Craig

James H. Craig of Freeport, Fla., passed away on September 4, 2009.  James was born on October 8, 1931 to D.L. and Fannie Mae Craig in Butler County.
 
James joined the US Army directly after high school and proudly served his country for 23 years. He moved to Freeport following retirement where he owned and operated Craig’s Cooling & Heating for 35 years. James was preceded in death by his parents.
 
Survivors include his wife, Faye Craig of Freeport, his children Jamed D. Craig and wife Bea of Ashburn, VA, Chana Craig of Freeport, Step-daughter Kasey Moseley and husband Bennett of Ward, AL, grandchildren Harry A Laird IV (Hal) and wife Laura, Hillary Moseley, Dustin Craig, Margaret Moseley, Natalie Craig, Patience Moseley, Dominic Craig and Chase Craig, sister Edna Martin of Greenville, AL and brother Paul Craig of Ft. Deposist, AL.
 
A celebration of James’ life was held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the  Freeport Presbyterian Church, 340 State Highway 20 E in Freeport. Flowers were accepted or donations may be made to the Freeport Presbyterian Church Mortgage fund, P.O. Box 287, Freeport, FL 32439.
