The Butler County Sheriff Department and Georgiana Police Department have been in pursuit of an escaped felon since Wednesday morning.

The chase has tied up most of the resources of both agencies, along with a State Trooper helicopter and two tracking-dog teams from Atmore State Correctional Facility, in addition to numerous other law enforcement officers.

We hope the fugitive will come to justice, and avoid the possibility of innocent people being hurt or killed.
