Just over 400 voters turned out for Tuesday’s Republican primary run-off election in Crenshaw County.
There were no local races on the ballot.
Unofficially, Twinkle Andress Cavanaugh won 70 percent of the county’s 406 votes over Chip Brown for Public Service Commission president.
Statewide, Cavanaugh won 61 percent of the vote.
She will move on to face Democrat and incumbent Lucy Baxley in November’s general election.
Alabama Secretary of State Beth Chapman had predicted a two- to four-percent turnout for Tuesday’s race.
