The Greenville Termites used a pair of playoff wins to earn a spot in Saturday’s Super Bowl in Andalusia.
In the first game, Greenville defeated Georgiana 18-0.
Mark Patterson started the game with a seven-yard rush for a touchdown to put the Tiger ahead 6-0, and Tyrone Crenshaw added a two-yard run in the second quarter to extend the lead.
As time was winding down in the game, Patterson stripped the ball from a Panther runner and raced 40 yards for a touchdown.
The loss ended the season for the Panthers.
“We played a good game, and we did pretty good this season,” said coach Marcus Rich.
In the second game, the Tigers dominated East Brewton 26-7,and Patterson again played a key role.
The Termites will face off against Andalusia this Saturday.
