FDA Eagles defeat GA Tornados

The Fort Dale Eagles defeated the Greenville Academy Nados Monday night at Fort Dale as the Eagles celebrated Senior Night.
The varsity Eagles defeated the Nados 64-33 with Josh Till leading Fort Dale in scoring with 14 points while Brett Paulk added nine points to the effort.
Justin Beeson, Josh Burt, Jamie Parrish and Adam Garlock led the scoring for the Nados with four points each.
The Lady Eagles triumphed over the Lady Nados 50-27 and were led in scoring by Marcey Adams, who had 18 points for the effort. Heather Wyatt contributed seven points to the effort.
Lindsey Mariman led the Lady Nados in scoring with 10 points while Amy Winters contributed eight points to the effort.
The Fort Dale junior high boys defeated the GA junior high boys 41-21 with Josh Barrett leading the Eagles with 10 points and Adam Blackman adding five points to the effort.
The GA junior high Nados were led in scoring by David Moore, who had seven points for the battle against the Eagles. Justin Murphy contributed five points toward the Nados final score.
The junior high Lady Eagles dominated the junior high Lady Nados as they triumphed 43-12 over GA.
Laura Skipper led the Lady Eagles in scoring against GA with eight points while Frances Watts contributed seven points.
Kayla Garlock led the GA Ladies with six points and Caitlin Corey had five points toward GA's final score.
This past weekend, the GA varsity basketball teams were defeated by Wilcox Friday night in Greenville.
The varsity Nados were defeated 58-43 with Blakeley Ward and Josh Burt leading the scoring effort with eight points each toward GA's final score.
The Lady Nados fell to Wilcox 63-36 with Lindsey Mariman leading the Lady Nados in scoring with 11 points while Ginger May contributed ten points to the effort.
Fort Dale defeated Hooper Academy 60-49 Friday night with Brett Paulk leading the scoring for the Eagles with 20 points and Josh Till contributing 13 points and ten rebounds.
The Lady Eagles fell to Hooper Academy 27-30 in the final seconds of the varsity girls play, with Heather Wyatt leading the Ladies with 13 points.
On Saturday, the Fort Dale varsity boys defeated the Pike Liberal Arts Patriots 58-44. Josh Till led the Eagles in scoring with 14 points while Brett Paulk added 13 points to the Eagles' final score. Ty Langston contributed ten points to the effort.
The Lady Eagles fell to the Lady Patriots 43-32 with Ashley Paulk leading offensively with 12 points for the effort against Pike.
The Fort Dale Eagles will begin area tournament play tomorrow night in Selma against Meadowview Christian at 5 p.m. The boys' area tournament will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday night at Meadowview.
Greenville Academy will travel to Sparta Academy Feb. 2 for their final game of regular season play.
