Eagles fall to Cottage Hill, 46-43

The Fort Dale Eagle varsity basketball team fell to Cottage Hill Christian Academy of Mobile Friday afternoon, 46-43 after a three-pointer at the buzzer by the Warriors.
Fort Dale led in the first half of the game as Eagle spirits soared and adrenaline flowed. After halftime, however, it was a different story.
The Eagles faced several foul calls as did the Warriors. Foul shot after foul shot was taken and the Eagles' lead never reached above 10 points.
A three-pointer at the buzzer by the Warriors gave them the win, 46-43.
FDA junior Brett Paulk led the Eagles in scoring against CHCA with 16 points for the effort while Justin Pierce put eight on the board for Fort Dale and Josh Till had seven.
The Eagles finished up their season with a 21-5 record while the girls ended up 14-11 as they fell to the Pike Liberal Arts Lady Patriots of Troy Feb. 8 in post-season play.
