With spring here, may clubs and organizations are planning several events in the upcoming weeks.
The Greenville Area Arts Council is especially busy these weeks and have one major event planned. This coming Tuesday, the organization will present "Honky Tonk Angels" at the Ritz Theater beginning at 7 p.m. It is a story about a young girl who packs up and travels to Nashville where she strives to become a country music singer.
The Fine Arts League also has a very special event beginning tomorrow when they host their Spring Art Show and Sale at the old Greenville Ford building.
It is very important that all residents support the arts because it is this craft that adds beauty as well as entertainment to the Camellia City.
The American Cancer Society also is working hard on Relay for Life and April and May are packed full of events, from a circus to be hosted by WestPoint Stevens to a "Dude Looks Like a Lady" beauty pageant at the fairgrounds.
The comment that there is nothing to do in Greenville' isn't true this spring.
Get out and support all of these local organizations whose members are working hard to add to the pleasure and sunshine that only spring can bring in the Camellia City.
