Panthers, Eagles climb up in poll

After spending nearly two weeks unranked, four straight wins, including a win over Class 5A Greenville High School, has Georgiana School back in the Alabama Sports Writers Association top 10.
The Panthers, who had been ranked as high as No. 4 earlier in the season, re-entered the poll at No. 8. Georgiana ranks behind Pickens County (15-4), St. Jude (17-3), Belgreen (20-2), Keith (15-9), Skyline (15-8), McIntosh (15-4) and Marion County (18-1) in the latest poll.
Fort Dale Academy jumped two spots poll. The Eagles (16-5) had been ranked ninth before climbing to No. 7 in the latest poll.
The Eagles trail Glenwood (20-4), Lee-Scott (24-2), Macon-East (17-5), Evangel Christian (20-5), Patrician (24-3) and Edgewood (12-5).
