Road work begins on Highway 10

The Alabama Department of Transportation would like to inform the public that APAC Mid-South Inc. began work Thursday, Jan. 5 on the planing, resurfacing, and traffic stripe of State Route 10 (US-29).
The limits of the work will be from east of Luverne (MP 150.343) to the Pike County line.
The length of the project is 6.862 miles and is expected to be completed within 65 working day.
The contractor has erected advance construction warning signs to advise the traveling public of the construction work zone. The contractor will also utilize a pilot car to safely guide motorists through the construction work zone.
Motorists are urged to reduce speed and use caution when traveling through and around the equipment and workers.
