Volunteers needed in community

I noticed a recent announcement in the Chamber of Commerce newsletter that area hospice providers are in need of volunteers. I have had the opportunity to see the work that hospice provides for people in need of their services. I have also had the chance to work alongside a local hospice organization by volunteering with events and special occasions. Volunteers are the lifelines of many organizations, and hospice services are no different.
As a volunteer, you have the opportunity to make an impact in a life. You can make a difference and it only takes a little of your time. In fact, it takes as little, or as much, time as you choose. You can make a big difference in just a few hours a month. The opportunities as a volunteer are limitless. Volunteers can help in many different ways, such as helping in the office or visiting with patients. Whatever talents, interests, or skills you have, area hospice services have a need you can fill.
It is a great opportunity for you to meet new people and experience something new. There are several organizations in our area that can use the help of volunteers. It’s easy to volunteer. Contact the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce at 382-3251 to learn about the opportunities in our community. I urge you to give just a few hours of your time volunteering – It’s not too much to ask and all involved will share the rewards.
