A gospel singing will be held at Sweet home Baptist church in McKenzie beginning at 6 p.m. Aug. 28. Featured singers will be The Hendersons from Milton, Fla., Higher Ground from Brewton and Carl Tillery and the Sweet home Singers.
Aglow International will hold an organizational/general interest meeting on Saturday, August 28, 2004 at 10:00 AM in the Georgiana Community Center.
Women throughout the county are invited to attend.
Aglow is an intercultural, transdenominational organization of women of all ages and backgrounds.
Their vision is expressed through prayer and evangelism.
Through Aglow one will find supportive friends, caring hearts, listening ears and a sense of belonging.

The classes of 1966, 1967 and 1968 of Lomax – Hannon High School are planning a class reunion for July, 2005. There will be a meeting on Saturday, Aug. 28, at 4 p.m. at the home of Geraldine C. There will be a Stop the Violence, Save the Children March/Rally beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28.
They will march from Lowndes Middle School to Fort Deposit Recreation Park and area ministers are asked to lead the march.

August 29
First Missionary Baptist Church of Greenville will celebrate homecoming and revival services Aug. 29 with the pastor delivering the 10:45 a.m. message. An afternoon service will follow at 2 p.m. Evening services begin Aug. 30 through Sept. 3 at 7 p.m.
The Mosley Family Reunion will be held Sunday, Aug. 29, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Greenville YMCA. Bring a covered dish. For more information call 374-2965.
Awin Baptist Church will have its 5th Sunday singing Aug. 29.
Becky Welch will be in concert. Singing will begin at 10 a.m. with lunch at noon and singing will resume at approximately 1 p.m.

Sept. 5
Pleasant Hill West Baptist Church will host Homecoming on Sunday, Sept. 5.
Morning services begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Knight speaking.
Lunch will follow and an afternoon singing completes the day with Jerry Bragwell and The Family Band performing.
The Dannie Pierce Family reunion will be held Sept. 5 at the Georgiana Nutrition Center. All members of the Pierce, Lowery and Nichols families are invited. A reunion of the Pierce genealogy will be held Sept. 25 at the Nutrition Center. All relatives of the John Howel and Lucinda (Phillips) Pierce offspring are asked to bring and information they have.
Oct. 2
Garden Baptist Church will hold a benefit for Mrs. Hamrac, wife of the late minister, Harley Hamrac, Oct. 2, at 4 p.m. in McKenzie School.
