The Camellia City Civitan Club held a special meeting Monday at Beeland Park to install their new officers. New President Sandra Hill, Vice President Susan Murphy and Secretary/Treasurer Mollie Smith were all installed as new officers.

The new officers will serve for the 2004-2005 year to lead the club in its many ventures.

A special guest was on hand to swear in the new officers. Alabama West Florida Governor Glenda Donaldson attended to swear in the new officers and offer them advice.

Donaldson said the Camellia City Civitan Club was one of tradition and strong leadership.

&uot;This is a club with a long and a rich history of serving Greenville and the surrounding community,&uot; said Donaldson. &uot;Tonight we are here to recognize the new officers for the 2004-2005 year and wish them all luck.&uot;

After swearing in the new officers Donaldson issued a challenge to them.

&uot;I challenge you to motivate the members and your fellow officers,&uot; said Donaldson. &uot;Most of all enjoy yourselves.&uot;

Donaldson reminded the new leadership that they had a great responsibility now.

&uot;The election to leadership is an honor, but most of all it is a responsibility,&uot; said Donaldson. &uot;You are all accountable to your club and your community. Be innovative be positive and most of all set goals and do everything you can to see them accomplished.&uot;

Incoming President Sandra Hill, who was elected to her second term as president, said she was honored

to lead the club. She said she had high hopes for Civitan, its members and the community.

&uot;I do appreciate the confidence this club has in me to give me a second chance to be your president,&uot; said Hill. &uot;This time hopefully, we will accomplish goals I had hopes to in my first term.&uot;

Hill encouraged all members to stay active in the club. She said it took hard work by all members in order for Civitan to make a difference.
