A 22-year-old Luverne man was killed Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Hwy 29, 7 miles west of Troy.
According to Sgt. Steve Jarrett with the Alabama Highway Patrol, Paul Sebastian Mitchell’s 1992 red Nissan pick-up truck was traveling west when it crossed the center line and collided with a tractor-trailer. Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle, owned by JR’s Trucking, Inc. in Brewton, was not injured.
The wreck happened about 6:35 a.m.
Jarrett said there were no passengers in either vehicle. The crash is under investigation and toxicology reports are pending.
