The 2004 Crenshaw County Annual Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004. The parade will begin at 11 a.m.. We would love to have every business throughout the county represented in the parade. You may have floats, cars, golf carts, etc. to represent your business. If you will have an entry please let me know as soon as possible. We do not charge an entry fee, however we would like for each entry to bring a new toy to donate to the toy drive.

Once again this year the Chamber will sponsor Christmas Open House/Customer Appreciation on Friday, Dec. 3, with extended shopping hours from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Luverne. We would love to have 100 percent participation so that more people will be interested in coming to town. Everyone may not make purchases that night, but it's a great time for them to see what you have. The Chamber will be promoting this event in an effort to get people to "Buy local.". Each year this event grows and becomes more successful. If you will be having extended hours please let me know.

During this Holiday season let's ALL try to remember to buy locally as much as possible. This is retails busiest and hopefully most profitable time of the year. In keeping with that, let's help make it convenient for customers to shop with us, and the businesses around us. Many of us have gotten in the habit of parking in front of our business or in front of our neighbor's business. Due to the very limited parking downtown, please do not keep these parking places tied up. Remember that there is a two-hour parking limit. If your business does not have walk in traffic, the business next to yours would probably appreciate the space. Have a great Holiday Season.
