Adoptable canines dressed to the nines, fun games, good food and drink and a silent auction: all will be a part of the First Annual Dog-utante Ball and Cat-sino Night for the Butler County Humane Society.
The gala event kicks off at 6 p.m. this Saturday, March 6 at The Chef’s Table in Greenville with heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar available. A fun parade featuring cute dogs in formal attire is set for 6:30 p.m., followed by blackjack, roulette and easy gaming. These games offer attendees a chance to win chips, with a silent auction to follow at 9 p.m. using those chip winnings.
“We still have tickets available and we want people to come out and have a great time for a great cause right here in the Camellia City,” said BCHS president Herbert Morton.
Corporate sponsors are in place for the fundraiser, with proceeds from the event going to the proposed Second Chance no-kill shelter that will work in conjunction with the city shelter. The BCHS’s goal: To save more of the adoptable homeless cats and dogs in Butler County from being put down as they find fur-ever homes for these animals.
“This is a chance to get dressed up, enjoy good company and some great food and win wonderful prizes donated by our generous sponsors and supporters. And it’s all happening right here in the heart of our town,” said Morton.
Attire for the evening is cocktail/suit and tie. Tickets are $40 per person or $75 per couple and serve as a tax-deductible donation.
Tickets may be purchased at Mann & Associates at 404 Cedar St. (Sellers Building) and the Met Life office downtown or by calling 334-354-7400.
