Parks and Recreation announce Dixie Boys All-Stars rosters

The 13- and 14-year-old Dixie Boys league closed out the season last week with the announcement of the All-Star teams for each age group.
The all-stars will represent the city of Greenville in either sub-district or district play.
The Indians won the league with an 11-3 record. Their 13-year-old most valuable player was Daniel Nolan and the 14-year-old MVP of the team was Deven Cheatham.
Cooper Lewis and Adam Braden were awarded the Sportsmanship awards in both age groups.
The Red Sox finished second in the league with a 9-6 record. Dustin Till was named the 13-year-old MVP, while Brantley McKeown was the 14-year-old MVP.
Shanks Simmons and Gregory Copley were tabbed with the Sportsmanship awards.
The A's finished third in the Dixie Boys league with a 6-8 record. They were led by 13-year-old MVP Stuart Moody and 14-year-old Jeffrey Stead.
Hunter Harrell and Zack Bell were the Sportsmanship award winners.
The White Sox managed just three wins this season and were led by 13-year-old MVP Luke Hutcheson and 14-year-old MVP Paul Whigham.
The Sportsmanship award winners from each age group were Dustin Shell and Caleb Glass.
The 13-year-old Greenville Dixie Boys will begin all-star play July 8 in Troy in the district tournament.
The 14-year-old all-stars will begin play in the sub-district tournament in Luverne on June 24. Greenville will face teams from Highland Home and Luverne for a chance to play in the district tournament in Troy.
