CORRECTION: A land transaction published in the Oct. 8, 2011 edition of The Greenville Advocate listing, “Earnest Dean, Sandra Y. Majors, Anne C. Woodruff and Betty Yawn to City of Greenville for 10-08-06-23-2-006-008.001, one parcel, Lot 5 and Lot 6, Block 46, one parcel and Lot 3, Block 46, one parcel. Deed tax paid on $0,” was incorrect. Based on information from the Butler County Probate office, the report was filed in the county deed book in error. The paperwork used to file the record was actually a Greenville city resolution outlining wishes to purchase the properties, rather than a recordable land transaction. The item has since been removed from the county deed book.
