Kenneth P. Solomons

GREENVILLE – Kenneth P. Solomons Jr., 91, passed away at home Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, after a lengthy illness.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church with Father Fred Lindstrom officiating.
There will be no burial, as his ashes will be scattered at sea by his request.
Solomons is survived by his wife, Ada Claire Solomons of Greenville; one son, Kenneth P. (Cathy) Solomons III; two daughters, Marion Norman and Priscilla Davis, all of Greenville; three step-children, Brenda Morton and Deborah Houston of Greenville, and Laura Sweetman of Litchfield, Conn.; grandchildren, Missy (Scott) Head of Huntsville, Susan (Jim) Bricken of Evergreen, and grandson-in-law, Richard Branum of Greenville, Kenneth Solomon IV of Orlando, Fla., and Jim Broughton Solomons of Greenville; step-grandchildren, Danielle (Jason) Mathews of Austin, Texas; Caroline (Dane) Huffman of Raleigh, NC, Anselm H. Morton of Atlanta, Jamie (Scott) Gray of Litchfield, Conn., Sarah (Michael) Carr of Litchfield, Conn.; his twin brother's wife, Faith Donahue of Burlington, Vt., and many great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother, John, and his first wife, Frances Wilkerson Solomons, and two grandchildren, John Norman and Fran Branum.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Willie Miller for his devoted care through the years, and to Wiregrass Hospice and Comfort Hospice for their wonderful care.
They would also like to thank the many friends who remembered him so many times.
