May 23
n Joe Billie Watson, 27, was arrested and charged with second degree assault .
n Robert John Weaver III, 39, was arrested and charged with third degree assault.
May 24
n Michael Benjamin Copley, 23, was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle.
May 25
n Walter Dewayne McGowan, 25, was arrested and charged with first degree possession of marijuana.
May 27
n Latisha Lynette Duklin was arrested and charged with first degree assault.
The following reports were made by the Butler County Sheriff's Office from May 23 to May 28:
May 23
n A report was filed on the Luverne Highway in Greenville for harassment. Anonymous cell phone messages were left stating, “You will die soon.”
n A report was filed on Mobile Highway in Georgiana for harassment. A suspicious vehicle reported drove by a business continuously.
May 24
n A report was filed on Pine Apple Highway for theft. A $400 check and a $46 check were reportedly stolen out of a business mailbox.
May 25
n A report was filed on Honoraville Road in Honoraville for burglary. A semi-automatic Winchester rifle and case, a semi-automatic Ruger with a camouflage
case, a Browning 16-gauge semi-automatic shotgun, a Remington 16-gauge semi-automatic shotgun, a 20-gauge Over Under shotgun, a Browning 12-gauge shotgun, a Mossberg 12-gauge pump action shotgun, a Remington 20-gauge semi-automatic shotgun, a 12-gauge single barrel Model 37 shotgun and a Browning 12-gauge pump action shotgun were stolen.
May 26
n A report was filed on Pine Apple Highway for theft. An air compressor, a DVD player and a tool box of tools, valuing $960, were stolen.
May 27
n A report was filed at the Butler County Motorsports Park for assault. A driver accused another driver of punching him while he was still in his car.
n A report was filed on Spring Valley Road for assault. A man was accused of stabbing his friend in the buttocks with a knife.
n A report was filed on Perreen Street in Greenville for domestic violence and harassment. A man was accused of stopping a woman in her car in the middle of the road, hitting her car, breaking her windshield and attempting to take their child out of the woman's car.
