A week after the Fort Dale Eagles clinched a playoff berth with a 41-12 win over Morgan and the Greenville Tigers did the same with a 28-27 win over Tallassee, both teams are now playing for home-field advantage in the playoffs.

With a win Friday night over Cottage Hill, the Eagles can secure the home field in the first round while Greenville can secure the home field by winning out in region play or having Charles Henderson lose to Booker T. Washington.

Fort Dale vs. Cottage Hill

Blake Mullins bullied his way for four rushing touchdowns while quarterback/defensive back Ty Newton continued to shine on both sides of the ball as the Eagles got the ultimate revenge on Morgan Friday by clinching a playoff berth.

It wouldn't be a normal weekend unless Fort Dale was playing against another Top 10 team and this week's opponent, the Cottage Hill Warriors, are also ranked.

The Eagles are playing for home-field advantage in the playoffs, but the Warriors have the home-field advantage this week…

McKenzie @ Providence Christian

Since the win against Zion Chapel September 22, the Tigers have been on a three-game skid and are desperately seeking a win.

Providence Christian is coming off a 55-0 thrashing at the hands of No. 1 ranked Brantley, which could spell doom for McKenzie since two other teams have rebounded to beat the Tigers after losses to Brantley…

Georgiana vs. Keith

After reeling off back-to-back region wins over Bayside and then No. 1 ranked Southern Choctaw, the Georgiana Panthers have lost four in a row and must have a win Friday if they want to keep the playoff hopes alive.

Keith is coming off a 36-17 loss to Excel, the Panthers' opponent next week , while Georgiana is reeling from a 28-25 loss to Flomaton in which the lead changed six times.

A win Friday would go a long, long way…

Greenville @ Carroll-Ozark

Greenville survived an enormous scare Friday in Tallassee and must turn around and hit the road again this Friday at Carroll-Ozark.

Carroll head coach Ronnie Cottrell has been around more talent than any other coach in the state as an assistant at Florida State and Alabama, but his college career came to an abrupt end after the Albert Means scandal at ‘Bama.

The Tiger seniors have never beaten Carroll, but there is a first time for everything…
