An opportunity to work from home and be your own boss, earn some extra income and care for the children of the community is coming to Butler County.
Healthy Kids will be offering an eight-week course at the Butler County Board of Education (Community Learning Center) Building One, on School Highlands Road. The classes begin on Tuesday, March 23 and run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
“We are looking for people interested in becoming Licensed Family Childcare Providers. This course will give you the tools you need to obtain your Family Childcare Licensing,” said Lisa Nimmer, executive director for Healthy Kids.
According to Nimmer, attendees will be guided through a variety of subjects ranging from nutrition, quality childcare, first aid and CPR, to identifying entrepreneurship, business writing, and developmentally appropriate care.
“We use a number of presenters on topics such as marketing skills, positive personal finance, environmental safety, business finance, mandated reporting and stress management. Our participants will definitely walk away with the resources they need to begin home family childcare,” Nimmer said.
“There is real need for caring and qualified Family Childcare Providers in our community and surrounding areas. We invited anyone who has an interest to contact us.”
