Mattie Lou Brown

Mattie Lou Brown, 91, a resident of Montgomery and a native of Greenville, died Noveber 10, 2007. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 2 p.m. from Harrison Funeral Home with pastor William Clark officiating and Harrison Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Brown’s sons and grandsons served as pallbearers.
Visitation was one hour prior to service. Interment followed in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, James Noble &uot;Foots&uot; Brown Sr. and her parents, John Henry and Dora Stewart Holder, along with eight brothers and sisters.
She was a charter member of Montgomery SACS Gallery and a member of the Montgomery Toy and Doll Association.
She was a member of the Sewing Club and will be remembered for her cakes and many crafts.
She is survived by four children, Pat (Charles) Stephens of Montgomery; Noble (June) Brown and Kathi (David) Clark, all of Millbrook and George Brown of Equality; grandchildren, Gail (Chip) Pursor, Peggy (Sam) Dendy, Pam Loveless, Nicky (Tracy) Brown, Jeannie (Joey) Hamilton, Trevitte (Angie) Brown, Rhett Brown, Jim (Tracy) Brown, William (Colleen) Clark, Patti (Chris) Ceman, David (Rae Ellen) Clark and Jan (Tony) McCarley; sister, Sally Maudlin, Midland, Texas; brother, William &uot;Buddy&uot; Holder of Katy, Texas; 21 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
The family extends its thanks to Dr. Don Marshall and staff and to Crowne Health Care Nursing Facility as well as all the hospice nurses attending Mrs. Brown
