The Fort Dale girls had a strong showing in the Morgan Academy tournament over the weekend, but they were overpowered by Lee-Scott in the end.
The girls opened the tournament with a 69-22 win over Morgan, which avenged a loss late in the season last year.
Following the blowout over the Senators, the Eagles faced Lee-Scott, one of the top teams in AAA.
That game ended with a 61-41 win by the Warriors.
“I’m really proud of the way we played,” said head coach William Johnson. “We played hard both days, but we just got outmatched against Lee-Scott.”
“We just turned the ball over too much in that game,” he added.
Lori Fail scored 20 points against Morgan, and Jessie Langford had 15 points both nights.
Both girls were named to the all-tournament team.
Fort Dale also claimed a victory early last week with a 38-18 win over Macon-East.
