It was reported in the June 15 edition of the Greenville Advocate that the Butler County Board of Education tabled a plan to generate the necessary funds for a one-month operating balance in its reserve, which is required by the State Department of Education. According to Superintendent Darren Douthitt, that plan was approved by the BOE at the May 25 special called meeting and will not be addressed at Thursday’s regular meeting, which will begin at 6 p.m. at the Central Office boardroom.
