Book Reveal
Save the date for the reveal of the book, “Our South: Shop, Travel, Live the Camillia City” on Thursday, Jan. 30 at the Lodge at Sherling Lake. Refreshments will be available at the event set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Quilt Show
The Cotton Street Gallery at 104 North Cotton Street in Andalusia, will host its second annual quilt show and competition beginning Saturday, Feb. 1. Quilts will be on display through March 31. Competition judge Sandy Gard will give a lecture on the art of quilting at 1 p.m. Feb. 1.
Hunter’s Hideout
Hunter’s Hideout is holding a grand opening raffle now through Feb. 1. The grand opening is set for Feb. 1 at 11 a.m. Raffle ticket prices are 1 for $10, 3 for $20, 10 for $50 and 25 for #100.
Jelly Roll
Coffee Cup Quilting will host a Jelly Roll Class Feb. 1 at 10:30 a.m. Registration is only $10. A jelly roll will be provided for all students in attendance. Call (334) 665-4098 for more information. The shop is located at 213 South Conecuh Street in Greenville.
King Performance
The Greenville-Butler County Public Library will host Bright Star Touring Theatre’s performance of “The Life of Dr. King” Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 4:30 p.m. All are invited, but the performance is best for grades 3 to adult audiences.
Music Movement
The Greenville-Butler County Public Library hosts Music & Movement Thursdays at 10 a.m. The program provides fun for ages 1-5 but all are welcome.
Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery meets every Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, 760 N. Conecuh Street in Greenville. The group deals with all types of issues and is free to the public. For more information call (334) 382-2138.
Quilt Club
Quilt Club meets every Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Greenville-Butler Co. Public Library. Beginner and advanced quilters welcome.
Book Club
The No Stress Book Club will be held at 4 p.m. every second and fourth Wednesday of month at the Greenville Butler County Public Library, located at 309 Fort Dale Road.
Music Class
FUMC is hosting a juniors music class for elementary kids aged 4-10 at 6 p.m. on Wednesday nights at 112 Adams St. Singing, handbells, and rhythm instruments. Call 382-5872 for more info.
Knitting Club
Knitting Club meets every Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Greenville-Butler Co. Public Library. Beginner and advanced knitters welcome.
Morning Movers
The Greenville Exercise Center hosts exercise classes every weekday from 8-9 a.m. Guests can try the first class for free. For more information, call Helena Shirley at (334) 371-3030.
Tree Sale
The Butler County Forestry Planning Committee will host its annual tree sale Saturday, Feb. 15 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. or until trees sell out. This first come, first served event will be held at the Butler County Farmer’s Market next to the Butler County Courthouse. Trees are $2 each.
Camellia Show
The Greenville Camellia Society will host its annual Camellia Show Feb. 15 and 16 from 1 – 4 p.m. at Lurleen B. Wallace Community College in Greenville. Admission is free and open to the public. For more information visit www.greenvillecamelliasociety.org.
Gee’s Bend
The Greenville Camellia Society will hold an Artisan’s Market featuring a Gee’s Bend Quilt Exhibition at Beeland Park Feb. 15 – 16. Admission is free and open to the public.
BOE Meeting
The Butler County Board of Education will conduct its next regular meeting on Thursday, Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Central Office Boardroom located at 949 Oglesby Street in Greenville. The public is encouraged to attend.

Master Gardener

The Greenville-Butler County Public Library will host Bright Star Touring Theatre’s performance of “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” on Friday, March 14 at 4 p.m. All are invited but the show is best for pre-K to adult audiences.
Quilt Gallery
On March 27, the Cotton Street Gallery in Andalusia will host the Gees Bend quilters at the Andalusia Train Depot with an interactive demonstration from 3 – 6 p.m. and a lecture from 6 – 7 p.m. tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children. For information email swiggins@airartists.org.
