Butler County students named to Troy honors lists

Troy University released its honors lists for the Fall semester and Term 2 of the 2024-25 academic year Friday. Among those named to the university’s Provost’s and Chancellor’s list were 14 Butler County natives.
Chancellor’s List scholars are full-time undergraduate students who are registered for at least 12 semester hours and who earn a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0. Butler County students named to the list are:
* From Greenville: Jessica Longmire, Lancelot Smith, Shelby Lawrence, Joshua Hall, Avery Royal and Julian Coleman; and
* From Georgiana: Brady Shell and Mary Salter; and
* From McKenzie: Taylor Campbell.
The university recognizes full-time undergraduate students who are registered for at least 12 semester hours and who have a grade point average of at least 3.65 on its Provost’s List. Local scholars named to the list are:
* From Greenville: Emily Bowen, Taylor Hovis and Alli Butts;
* From Georgiana: Tangela Posey; and
* From McKenzie: Meagan Fountain.
The Fall Semester includes students at the Troy campus. Term 2 includes students at TROY’s campuses in Dothan, Phenix City and Montgomery, Ala., along with locations outside of Alabama and online.
