The Butler County Sheriff’s Office has reported a fatal two-vehicle accident on North Mt. Zion Road, with multiple law enforcement agencies responding. Residents are asked to avoid the area.

In a social media post around 8 p.m Monday,  the department announced that the incident involved a passenger vehicle and a propane gas truck on North Mt. Zion Road between Alabama Highway 10 and County Road 50.

An LP Gas Board Investigator is on scene, and the propane gas truck involved has no sign of leakage.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), EMA, Butler County Sheriff’s Department, Greenville Fire Department and M&D Fire Departments are responding to the accident.
