Salvation Army offers utility assistance

With winter weather on the way, staying warm is more important than ever. The Salvation Army is here to help and offers assistance for paying utility bills.

The Salvation Army of Butler County now serves Greenville, Georgiana and McKenzie. Appointments are available Friday, Jan. 24 to discuss receiving aid paying electric bills.

Clients must reside in Butler County. The head of household or authorized representative must apply for aid and provide a utility bill in their name.

Persons receiving assistance must be a U.S. citizen with a current photo ID and social security card present with them during the appointment.

Appointments are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Call (334) 445-3070 to schedule an appointment.
