Jesse Keith Whitley performed an intimate acoustic show at the Georgiana Opry House on Nov. 16, joined by two members of his band.
A third-generation country musician, Whitley blends his own talent with the rich legacy of his parents, Lorrie Morgan and Keith Whitley, and his grandfather, Grand Ole Opry legend George Morgan.
The trio entertained the audience with a mix of classic country hits, modern favorites and a few original songs. Whitley said he appreciates the relaxed, interactive atmosphere of smaller venues.
“We’ll throw a couple covers in there and things that I grew up on, things that have influenced me or influenced my guys or whatever,” Whitley said. “But for the most part, we never know what we’re doing unless we’re a full band. On acoustic shows, we fly by the seat of our pants and just figure it out.”
