Remote Area Medical (RAM), a nonprofit dedicated to bridging the gap in healthcare access, will host a free clinic this weekend at the Pensacola Interstate Fairgrounds located at 6655 Mobile Highway, on Nov. 23-24. The event offers free dental, vision and general medical care for individuals in need, with no insurance or ID required.

“Everywhere you go in the U.S., there is a need for better access to healthcare, and we are willing to bring that access to any community we are invited to,” said Audra Fitzgerald, Senior Clinic Coordinator at RAM. “It’s all about helping patients and getting them the care they need.”

According to a recent media release, RAM clinics serve as a vital resource for underserved populations by eliminating barriers such as cost and geographic isolation. Services provided will include dental cleanings, fillings, extractions, X-rays, eye exams, glasses made on-site, women’s health exams and general medical evaluations.

The clinic will operate on a first-come, first-served basis, with the parking lot opening no later than 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22. Patients will receive additional instructions upon arrival. Clinic doors will open at 6 a.m. each day, though Sunday operations will conclude earlier than Saturday. Patients seeking care are advised to arrive early and be prepared to choose between dental and vision services, though all attendees will have access to general medical care.

RAM cautions that unforeseen circumstances, such as weather or volunteer shortages, could impact clinic operations. Despite this, they remain committed to serving as many patients as possible during the two-day event.

Founded in 1985, RAM has provided over $200 million in free healthcare services to nearly one million individuals through more than 1,400 clinics nationwide. To learn more about RAM’s work, volunteer opportunities, or how to support their mission, visit ramusa.org or call 865-579-1530.
