Two men, over 20 eccentric characters of all ages and both genders, and lots of comic situations. That is the “Greater Tuna” experience waiting for the audience at the Ritz next Monday night.
The Greenville Area Arts Council closes out the season Monday, March 9 with the arrival of the comedic two-man show, “Greater Tuna,” with the curtain rising at 7 p.m.
“Greater Tuna” is the first of a series of four comedic plays set in the fictional town of Tuna, Texas, the “third-smallest” town in the state.
The show debuted in Austin, Texas in the fall of 1981, and premiered off-Broadway in 1982. By 1985, “Greater Tuna” was the most-produced play in the United States.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and are available in advance at The Pineapple and Grayson’s in Greenville and show night at the box office.
