Charles Edward Olsson, 66, of Greenville, died May 23, in Montgomery, after a short treatment for cancer. He was born February 4, 1958, in East St. Louis, Illinois.
He is survived by his mother Dora Lee Olsson (nee Williamson) wife Debra (Folds) Olsson, children; Sayward Olsson, Miranda Olsson, Dehlia Swan (Will) and Andrea Davis; grandchildren Salem Mello, Rowan Mello, Lyra Swan, Corina Swan, Vela Swan and Moxie Davis; great-grandchildren Ares Aguilar and Luis Aquilar; siblings – Patricia Stephans, Deborah Olsson, Sonia Crownover (Terry), Frank (Natalie) Olsson, Susan Westwood, Leon Olsson, Florence Olsson and Fritz Olsson and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Charlie was preceded in death by his father Charles Edward Olsson, a brother James Olsson and sister April Hughes.
Charlie was a loyal family man and was very proud of his daughters and enjoyed spending time with them.
He retired from REF with 36 years of service. He leaves behind many valued and loved family, friends and coworkers.
He loved Alabama Crimson Tide football, fishing, grilling and watching weather and antique shows.
A private visitation was held May 27 at Dunklin Funeral Home in Greenville. Cremation followed. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a later date.
