The Fort Dale Academy varsity boys basketball team took the lead over Edgewood Fort Dale’s Christmas tournament after Sawyer Fossett hit a three-point shot at the buzzer when the teams were tied 40-40. 

The Eagles also defeated Crenshaw Christian Academy 52-39, and the varsity girls team won 55-4. Sawyer Fossett, Ethan Alford and Dain Winters were selected as All-Tournament players from the Fort Dale boy’s team and Sawyer Fossett was named tournament Most Valuable Player. 

Brinkley Long and Anna Claire Thomas were selected from the Lady Eagles for the All Tournament players.
