Guns were drawn by the Greenville Police Department (GPD) in the Walmart parking lot Saturday around 6 p.m. Police Chief Justin Lovvorn confirmed that after witnessing a traffic violation, an officer ran the vehicle’s tag number and discovered the older model Honda Accord was stolen from Colquitt County Georgia, and the two individuals occupying the car had a hold placed on them for larceny by the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Department.
The GPD performed a felony stop in the Walmart parking lot and arrested Alen Kennedy, a 27 year old black male from Camden, for receiving stolen property first degree and fugitive from justice. Sequoia Adams, a 21 year old black female from Thomason, was also arrested for giving a false name to law enforcement and fugitive from justice.
Lovvorn commends his officers for excellent execution of the situation.
“I would like to commend these officers for their efforts in locating and arresting two felons without incident as well as recovering the stolen vehicle,” Lovvorn said. “This shows the vigilance our officers have in their duty to protect our citizens everyday.”
