Michelle Black at A Color Affair recently designed and painted the windows paying tribute to this building’s historical significance.The original Advocate office, Located at 502 E. Commerce St, is listed on the national register of historic places and is part of the East Commerce Street Historic District. J.B. Stanley founded The Greenville Advocate with a vision to provide Greenville and Butler County with a first rate newspaper and accomplished his goal with an investment of $300 and a dream in October of 1865.
