Butler County School System Student Meal
Costs for 2022-2023
Our federal and state governments are attempting to adjust their processes and procedures back to what they were pre-COVID. As a result, one such change is school meal charges.
During the pandemic years of March 2020 through May of 2022 many school systems received waivers to provide free meals for our students. The waiver for school districts that are not a part of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) has now expired and must return to the pre-pandemic process of completing lunch forms to apply for free and reduced-price meals. It is imperative that each household completes one lunch form that includes all the children in the household. Hard-copy forms will be available at our schools; and if the State Child Nutrition Program approves it, the forms will be available in our electronic enrollment program that has been created for the 2022-2023 school year.
We are truly regretful for the additional expense that this causes our families and as a district we are working now to qualify for the CEP or Partial CEP program for the 2023-2024 school term. We encourage everyone with children in our system to register for a meal account through PayPAMS to monitor and to pay for your child’s meals. For your financial planning the following prices, which are the same as they were pre-COVID, will be charged for our school meals:
Full Price Meal Program Reduced Price Meal Program
$2.20 Lunch $0.40 Lunch (forty-cents)
$1.15 Breakfast $0.30 Breakfast (thirty-cents)
