Described as a performer with “hefty dose of southern charm combined with a dash of country livin’ and a pinch of urban style,” country rapper Colt Ford is coming to share his own unique sound and musical format with Butler County next Friday night.
Ford will be performing at Hank Williams Music Park in Georgiana April 10 as a kickoff for the Salute-A-Soldier Weekend in the city.
A Georgia native who loves both hip-hop and country music, Ford has worked with acclaimed producer Jermaine Dupri, country artists like John Michael Montgomery an Montgomery Gentry, and hip hop artists Bone Crusher, Sunny Ledfurd, and No Doubt’s Adrian Young. His songs include “Mr. Goodtime,” “Buck ‘Em,” “Tailgate,” “Trash in My Trailer” and “Saddle Up.”
“We are very excited to have Colt as part of our salute to our military and we know it’s going to be a great concert,” said Salute-A-Soldier organizer Tina Little.
Gates open next Friday night at 6 p.m. and the music begins at 8 p.m.
Opening for Ford will be Greenville’s own homegrown talent, Matt Chapel and The Whiskey Run Band. Ford will take the stage at 9:15 p.m.
Tickets are $20 at the gate and $15 in advance. Attendees will get a chance to win a guitar autographed by Colt Ford.
Tickets can be purchased at the Corner Stop, Red Caboose, J & D’s Country Dining, Mr. Henry’s #5 or by contacting Tina Little at 334-374-8328.
