The Fort Dale Academy varsity boys basketball team lost a close game against the Sparta Academy Warriors with a final score of 49-45.

Jackson Scott led the team with 12 points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal.

Brady Long scored nine points for the Eagles with five steals and nine rebounds.

Clay Benson and Sawyer Fossett scored six points. Benson had four rebounds and two assists. Fossett had two rebounds and three assists.

Ethan Alford and Grant McGriff  scored five points. Alford also had four rebounds, four assists and four steals.

Brody Stringer scored two points with five rebounds and one steal.

Fort Dale is now 4-5 for the season.

They will face Pike Liberal Arts on the road Thursday.
