Georgiana places third in Andalusia Tournament

The Georgiana varsity boys basketball team took home third following the Andalusia Christmas Tournament.
During the first round, which occurred Thursday, the varsity boys beat Kinston 87-38.
Josh Sims was the lead scorer for the team with 19 points.
Amari Feagin scored 17 points with 11 rebounds and six blocks while
Tremari Longmire scored 15 points. Zach Boggan scored ten.
Georgiana then played Hillcrest-Evergreen in the semi-finals Friday.
Hillcrest-Evergreen would beat Georgiana with a close score of 69-64 at the final buzzer.
Sims led the team with 14 points and ten rebounds.
Lowery and Longmire scored 11 points each, and Feagin scored 10.
After losing to Hillcrest-Evergreen, Georgina faced Monroe Academy, fighting for third place.
Georgiana would end up the victors of the matchup with a final score of 72-36.
Lowery led the team by 14 points. Sims had a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Feagin scored 13 points with eight rebounds and five blocks. Tremari Longmire scored 11 points, and Boggan scored nine with 14 rebounds.
Following the tournament, the varsity boys sit with a 7-2 record for the season.
