Eagles plucked by Senators

The Fort Dale Eagles lost to the Morgan Academy Senators at home during Friday’s conference game with a final score of 53-28.
The Senators scored first against the Eagles in the opening minute of the first quarter after a six-yard run. The Senators then scored the two-point conversion to lead the Eagles 8-0.
Halfway through the first quarter a nine-yard touchdown pass furthered the Senators lead. They later scored a third touchdown with three minutes left in the first quarter after a two-yard run.
In the second quarter, the Senators made their fourth touchdown of the night after a three-yard run.
Three minutes until halftime, the Eagles successfully put points on the board after Ethan Alford managed a 30-yard run for a touchdown.
The Eagles would score again with under a minute to go until halftime when Sam Bloodworth made a one-yard touchdown run.
Getting the ball back with sixteen seconds left in the first half, the Senators scored again with an 18-yard run.
At halftime, the Senators led the Eagles 36-14.
A 34-yard field goal in the third quarter extended the Senators lead 39-14.
The Senators scored their sixth touchdown in the opening of the fourth quarter with a 10-yard run.
After gaining control of the ball, Ethan Alford completed a 25-yard touchdown pass to Alan Alvarez for the Eagles.
Shortly after, the Senators scored their final touchdown of the night with a 14-yard touchdown pass.
With under three minutes left in the fourth quarter, the Eagles managed to score after Cole Guy ran for a two-yard touchdown.
The Eagles ended the game with 241 passing and 80 rushing yards.
Following the loss, the Eagles sit at 2-7 for the season.
The Eagles will face the Lowndes Academy Rebels during Friday’s non-regional away game.
