Chris Rogers, 77, of Palatka, passed away Thursday, July 15 at Putnam Community Medical Center following a brief illness.
Graveside services will be Saturday, October 16 at Magnolia Cemetery.
Dunklin Funeral Home will direct.
Chris was born in Greenville and had been a resident of Palatka for the past 60 years.
He worked at the Viking Barber Shop for many years where he shined shoes and kept things clean.
Additionally, he later worked for the Putnam County School District as a custodian, retiring in 2008 after 33 years of service.
His parents John and Everett Rogers and brother and sister-in-law John and Anne Rogers precede him in death.
His two brothers and sisters-in-law Jim and Heidi Rogers and Cato and Ginger Rogers, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Charlie Jones and Kathy and Ted Redding and numerous nieces and nephews survive him.
The family expresses their appreciation to Chris’s many caregivers at Kiva Assisted Living where he resided for twenty-one years.
