Greenville Tire has not only changed locations, they have also changed their name.

No longer located on Luverne Highway, Greenville Tire has moved to Cahaba Rd, just past Dollar Tree. The building is still waiting on the new signage, but you have reached the right place if you see the Car Quest sign on the right.

“We are super excited to be in the new space,” Anita Till, accounting manager, said.

Greenville Tire will now be called 65 South Service Tire and Parts. The new location is much larger and now has an auto parts business in the front and the tire service area located in the back of the building. A new waiting area complete with chairs and large tv allows customers a place to relax while repairs are being completed.

“We outgrew our old location,” Till said. “We added the auto parts, which is a new venture for us. It allows us to have more control over the parts we stock and are able to have more items on hand for repairs.”

The new changes help 65 South Service Tire move faster and handle more repairs now that they do not have to wait on parts to arrive.

“We are the only heavy-duty supplier in town,” James Blackwelder, CarQuest parts manager, said. “We have parts all the way up to semi-truck and supply loggers and industrial parts as well. We don’t work on them, but we do have the parts.”

Hydraulic hoses are a big parts item, James said.

The new location also has additional security for any vehicles that are left on-site, including a locked fence and security cameras.

Jody Smith is the general manager and transmission expert. “We are very excited about the move,” Smith said. Smith said he does a little bit of everything when it comes to car repair. “We hope good things will come from this change.”

Don’t let the “Tire” in the name fool you. 65 South offers a full range of repair and diagnostic services. Suspension, air-conditioning, regular maintenance such as oil changes, tune-ups are a few services they provide. And, of course, they offer tires services to keep you rolling.
