LBW Community College has recently named Dr. Shannon Levitzke as Dean of Instruction.
Dr. Levitzke’s experience includes multiple years in teaching and administrative roles, with her most recent role serving as LBW’s Associate Dean of Institutional Effectiveness and Quality and the Luverne Center.
“LBW has a long history of academic excellence, with faculty and staff that are second to none,” said Levitzke. “I love being part of the Saints family and am excited by this opportunity to serve our students and communities in a new role.”
Ms. Jennifer Hall, who served as Associate Dean of Adult Education, Workforce Development, and Continuing Education, has been named Dean of Workforce Development and Strategic Initiatives.
This new title for Ms. Hall is a result of a reorganization in which she will assume additional duties related to new initiatives and will include the oversight of the AmeriCorps VISTA Program.
“As an LBW Community College student 21 years ago, I only dreamed of having the opportunity to serve in a leadership role at our communities’ college,” said Hall. “Being named the Dean of Workforce Development and Strategic Initiatives is truly an honor. I look forward to continue working alongside our dedicated faculty and staff to serve our students, communities, and business and industry partners.”
“Our continuous mission to reach new academic heights within the region we serve as well as the state will take individuals like Dr. Levitzke and Dean Hall who continue not only to challenge themselves professionally but go above and beyond the call of duty,” said LBW President, Dr. Brock Kelley. “I look forward to the growth of the College and working with these individuals in their new roles.”
